I've always been a car guy (due to early influences like Speed Racer) and prefer post-war, pre-wind tunnel cars, especially Italian, but just about anything with 4 wheels will do.
My high school bus used to go by a house every day that had a black Pantera in the carport. One day it showed up at school with one of the high school kids at the wheel; thinking of it now, I think the young driver hit the gas instead of the brake and ended up doing a 180. I was smitten.
I bought mine after deciding to finally get a car to tinker with; my wife and I had talked about classic Mustangs, etc. but I figured to jump in with both feet and get what I'd ultimately want.
It's very original, which is good in that nothing has to be undone, but on the other hand, everything is beginning to need replacement. I've had it since 2010 and have enjoyed working on it and driving it. I'm getting into a few projects that will stretch my skills so it's a good time to join the club and get some advice.
