We have a number of events planned over the next 2-3 months as summer
finally decides to make an appearance. Here's a summary, and a copy of
the 2011 events calendar.
Friday-Sunday, July 1-3 at Pacific Raceways in Kent. The NW Historics for
three days of vintage racing. You can bring your car to the car corral
and do the noon-time drive around. This years' featured marque is Jaguar
in celebration of the 50th anniversary of the E-type release. PNW has in
the past organized a group for the Car Corral but did not this year.
Please visit the website for more details.
Thursday-Sunday, July 14-17, Mustangs NW Mustang Round Up. Thursday, July
14 is track day at Pacific raceways, Friday July 15 is the Pony Trails
drive to Crystal Mountain Ski Resort, Saturday is the Concours Mustang
show, and Sunday, 7/17 is the Peoples Choice show, where Panteras
Northwest will once again receive premium parking. This will also be our
meeting location for July. Find out more on the Mustangs NW website, At a
Saturday, August 6, Summer Drive-in, BBQ and all around Pantera Get
Together at Pat Hall's Garage-Ma-Hall in Maple Valley, WA. Time and
details have yet to be completed, but PNW member Pat Hall has graciously
offered to host a summer BBQ and Pantera outing. He is just off of Hwy 18
about 2 miles north of Maple Valley. Mark your calendars and stay tuned!
Sunday, August 7, LeMay ACM Collector Car Showcase. Chris Kimball put it
out there this last week that we ought to try to have a presence at this
event, and it sounds like a great opportunity. We can make it a Pantera
weekend, and you'll already have your car shined up from the Saturday
event, so why not? You can get more details from the article at the
following link. http://www.lemaymuseum.org/events.php?eid=789
Saturday, August 20, the Bowen Scarff Classic Ford Show and Mustang Round
Up. This is a PNW regular event, and we always get a good showing and
lots of crowd interest. This show fills up fast, so don't hesitate to get
your registration in early. We've had up to 8 Panteras in this show,
let's see if we can beat that. Get more details and registration forms at
http://www.bowenscarff.com/Car-Show.aspx. We'll plan to meet up at the
Office Depot across the street from BS Ford so we can caravan in.
Seattle Italian Concours: Sadly, we are going a second year without the
Concours as the Des Moines marina is still under construction. Labor Day
Weekend is yours to play
Saturday-Sunday, September 10-11, PNW Birch Bay Get Away and Sunday picnic
car show. Last year was a bit of a washout as La Niña had her way with
us, but this year WILL BE BETTER. We'll set ourselves up at the Birch Bay
Get Away cabins once again after a great Saturday back roads drive to get
there, and follow with the show at the Park on Sunday. More details to
follow. We'll set up a reservation at the Birch Bay cabins and drop you a
line to call in.
Griot's garage does a monthly (first Saturday of each month) Caffeine and
Gasoline, plus they have a great show/event calendar on their website.

As the LeMay Museum gets set to open this next year, they are ramping up
their events schedule, which is on their website. They have a monthly get
together as well in their digs in Fife called the Coffee Cruise-in. Next
one scheduled for Saturday, July 9. Check it out
Reno was a blast this year, as the smile on the starting grid at Reno
Fernley can attest, << File: th_DSC_0345.jpg >>
So let's get out there and keep the wheels rolling!
