Summary of the March 2011 CapitolPanteras Meeting

The March meetinghad two Panteras and a Bricklin in the parking lot atMimi's.  Mike Drew and Lori Albino drove their Panteras, while John was in his Bricklin.  Attending the meeting; Jim& Emilia Seiferling, Ken Montgomery, Rick Carlile, John Worsley, LamarFairchild and his lady friend Maureen, Garry and Sue Choate, Jeff Budelli, Mike& Nancy Haney, Darice & Duane Harlan, John McNamee, Jay Morris, andMike Drew's friend Stephan from France.   We had the raffle for a $20 Kragen giftcard and John Worsley won it.  Mike Drew won the driving for gasdollars prize of $10.  John reported that we have $1120 in the bank.  The Clubmembership in the California Auto Museum is up for renewal.  The groupvoted to pay $125 to keep our CP club membership current.  John willsubmit a list of our members to CAM so that our members can utilize the freeentrance to the museum that the membership brings.  The other moneymatter voted on was that Emilia & Jim would have club funds to buy the POCAraffle tickets they will be given to sell in Reno this June.

Don and Kathy Gagnonneeded to change the date for the Jackson Drive that is planned for May. After review of the calendar and discussion of possible conflicts with otherevents it was decided to do the Jackson Drive on Sunday, May 15.  Pleasemark your calendar for this CP event.  A more definite head count will betaken at the April CP meeting.  Don had a family matter to deal with todayso was unable to make the meeting.  It was also his birthday.  We allwish Don a happy birthday!

The Tech session isstill on for Saturday, April 16, at Rick's shop.  Lamar will be having hiscar examined by Rick to make sure it will be ready for the POCA track event inReno in June.  If your Pantera needs any minor help or a tech inspection, please bring it for the guys to help you sort it out.  But remember youhave to be able to drive it home at the end of the session.  Jim & Iwill stop to pick up some donuts on our way to the tech session.  We willdiscuss lunch options at the April meeting.  The last year we sent out forpiazza for lunch.  It ready depends on how many people show up for thesession.

Ken gave us the date forthe British Car Show in Woodland, Sunday, May 22.  EuroSunday may be heldin Woodland that day to piggy back of the British Car Show.  Ken will bethere displaying his DeLorean.  Maybe Garry & Sue will bring theirDeLorean to the show as well.

Rick will be runningthe TVR in the Sonoma Historic Motorsports Festival at Infineon. Let's see if several of us can make it over to cheer him to victory or at leastenjoy the shade of his pit area.

Just a reminder toeveryone to make their reservations of Reno.  We have made ours. Maybe we can get enough CP members there this year to have a full table at thebanquet on Saturday night.  Last year we had seven CP members and filledin the rest of the table with PCNC members.

We want to apologize forthe tardiness of this month's newsletter and any memory lapse in recording theevents of the meeting.  We've had a very busy month and this gotmoved down on the list, besides there wasn't too much in this months newsletterdue to our lack of automotive activity and the absence of any articles beingsubmitted for the newsletter. Lets hope that as the weather improves that therewill be more activities for everyone to report!

Wanted: Articles for CP Newsletter
